Step 1: Close/Restarting The EZ Dine App
- Any instances where the EZ Dine app is performing slowly or frozen you can close/restart the EZ Dine app to clear memory and return performance back to normal usage
- Tap the android minimize icon located on the bottom of the tablet taskbar. Depending on the type of tablet the minimize icon will be a square or three horizontal lines icon
- Once the minimize icon is selected the EZ Dine app will appear in the background of the android home screen. Swipe up to completely close out of the EZ Dine app
- Locate the EZ Dine app on the android home page. If not found on the home page you can swipe up on the android screen to see full list of android apps installed
- Select the EZ Dine app and after a few seconds the EZ Dine app will load and display the main login page
- Wait a few a seconds before using the device so all open orders are successfully loaded
Step 2: Restart Tablet
- For any issues with the tablet touch screen or connecting to outside devices completely restarting the tablet is a potential solution
- Each tablet will require holding the power button for a few seconds which will display the power off and restart options on the screen
- Microtouch tablets the power button is located on the bottom right underneath the screen
- Samsung tablets select the top power and volume down buttons simultaneously
- Elo Z30 CFD tablets the power button is located directly underneath the screen in the middle
- After the tablets are restarted and back on the android home screen. Locate the EZ Dine app and tap to start back up again

Step 3: Network Settings
- Being connected to an incorrect network or having both Wi-Fi and Ethernet turned on at the same time can cause issues with the overall EZ Dine app performance and functionality
- For double checking network settings navigate to the android home page and select the settings icon
- Microtouch tablets inside the network & internet settings page will list the connection type being used
- Ethernet should be the only network type on. Microtouch tablets will be a hardwired connection using a cat5 Ethernet cable
- Tap the Ethernet option and the Ethernet settings page will open
- From the settings page the Ethernet option should be toggled on with the IP address being used listed
- The two horizontal arrows icon will be displayed to the left of the Ethernet tab name. This will indicate the correct Ethernet hardwired network in use. The same horizontal arrows icon will be shown at the top right corner inside the android network area of the tablet
- Selecting the Internet option should show Wi-Fi as off and Ethernet displaying the horizontal arrows icon confirming the correct network is being used
- Samsung tablets will be using Wi-Fi and should be connected to the posezdine wireless network
- Navigate to the android home page and tap the settings icon. Connections will list the Wi-Fi network the tablet is currently connected to
- Bluetooth and Airplane mode should be toggled off
- Any other network type selected or used besides posezdine will cause issues with the EZ Dine app communicating with devices and data syncing

Step 4: Clearing EZ Dine App Data
- Resetting the EZ Dine app to fix any abnormal behavior can be done by clearing out the internal EZ Dine app data stored locally on the tablet
- Once cleared the EZ Dine app will require reauthenticating of the tablet again as this will completely reset all the EZ Dine app settings on the tablet
- Navigate to the android home page and select settings and apps
- Microtouch tablets you will see recently used apps and all apps. The EZ Dine app should be listed at the top of the recently used app list
- Tap the EZ Dine app and select storage & cache
- For a shortcut method long press the EZ Dine app directly from the android home screen for a couple seconds. Tap app info and this will take you directly to the EZ Dine app info page
- Select clear cache and then clear storage. After clearing storage you will be prompted to confirm the deletion of the app data
- Close out of the settings page and start the EZ Dine app back again
- Once the EZ Dine app starts back it will require reauthentication of the tablet. Steps on reauthenticating can be found here. Registering Your Android Device
- Samsung tablets inside the settings and app page scroll until you find the EZ Dine app
- Tap the EZ Dine app and select storage
- Select clear cache and then clear data
