Managing Gratuity Settings.

  1. Click on Gratuity from the REWARDS & PAYMENTS section within Studio.
  2. Click on the blue pencil icon for the store needing this edit.
  3. Within this section you will have the following ability to add or remove a tip suggestion section, create an automatic gratuity, and set up the suggested tip amounts. More details in the following sections.

Managing Tip Suggestions


Tip suggestions allow your customers the ease of mind to have pre-calculated tip amounts already performed for them.



  1. Enter the desired recommended Tip Suggested in Percentages in the "Tip Suggestion" Section
  2. Click Save

How to hide the tip suggestion


  1. From the Edit Gratuity Screen, toggle the "Hide Tip Suggestion" to the blue (on) position.

Managing Auto Gratuity



Auto gratuity is considered a service charge since the customer is required to pay the amount as part of their order total with no choice. 

This means the auto gratuity service charge is reported as non-tipped income and treated as regular wages. Also becoming part of the businesses taxable income

By default the auto-gratuity amount will be based on the order total(subtotal + taxes).

Example:
20% for parties of 6 or more.


  1. From the Edit Gratuity screen, enter the following information.
  2. Apply Auto Gratuity Pre-tax.
    1. This can be toggled on to have the Gratuity calculated before tax is applied.
  3. Enter the amount of guests required within the "Number of guests for Auto Gratuity" section
  4. Enter the Tip Percentage amount for this into "Auto Gratuity"
  5. Click Save
